I so easily get lost in the pages of books. I love the texture and smell of the pages. I love cracking the binding and making it mine. But sometimes a good book is missing a few pictures to help set the scene. I tried to include some as chapter covers in The Drive North, making them into a cool sketchy design with the help of a friend, but it wasn't enough in my mind. Generally speaking, I've given up on guide books. I just don't use them any longer, and I don't see the need to thanks to our good friend the Internet. So much information is available for free here that it doesn't make sense to spend money on a book to give you the same information. Bu
